apologies if this has been mentioned before, but i got no returns on a search on visualisations

i can never get goom to work while playing mp3s. i first thought that you'd have to download goom separately, but there are already files in the goom directory, so i ruled that solution out. i can get the basic spectrum analyser to work. i'm using the latest version of XBMC

is there anything i'm missing?

You have to chnage the viz you wanna use under settings --> music (in the GUI).

ok, when i change the setting to goom, i just get a blank screen... everything else still works fine, theres just no vis...
