I am a total nOOb in xbox, so plz help, here we go...

I just bought x2.2 pro and my xbox several days a go, followed instruction in the tutorial section to install the mod, i think i did everything right but when I try to boot with x2.2 pro enabled, it boot twice and then the third time, it just keep on flashing red/green and when I disable the chip and reboot, it's fine. I tried both the pin install and wire install but the same thing prevailed. I am not sure whether I xbox verion is 1.4 or 1.5 cuz it was manufacture in week 33 of 2003 (serial test). Can anyone tell me what's gone wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
