I have a cheapmod with an old bios installed. I want to upgrade to 4977. I don't see any wires or anything connected to the mod chip (the xbox was already modded). Can I try to use the evox flash bios without screwing up my xbox, provided I get a good bios that I want to flash? I read that evox will not be able to erase the chip if there is write protection. Is this true? Can I go ahead and flash without having to worry that I will just erase the mod without the flashing of the new bios?
