like the title says. im looking to buy and upgrade a tivo series one. does anyone know of any good resources to do some research at. any help appreciated. thanks

Both the Series 1 and Series 2 are upgradeable, but the Series 1 is easier.

I recommend you spend some time at www.tivocommunity.com. You'll find all the info you need.
