Hey, my first gamecube mod was the front led replacement and it works, now i wanted to add leds to the 2 side vents... so i wired them up to the 12v and the gnd and the leds work... but they are always on LOL, as long as the power is plug in. im ok with the lights always being on, but do u think this will ruin the power supply or cause as a fire hazard? i have covered all my connection real well with hot glue so i think ill be ok with shorts.. any ideas?

Since the top led light is tied with the gamecube being turned on for it to get power, maybe you can rig the other 2 led's the same way, unless you did make them the same way, and in that case i have no clue

if the 12V point you grabbed is coming out of the Powerpack (or along its main line) then your LED's are always going to be on.... because as long as the pack is plugged in, it gets 12V.

The GC has a "second" 12V (really the same one) that will be active when the button is pushed in.... you need to locate it and use that if you want your LED's to only light when the power is turned on.... as to where it is on the board, I've seen the inside in pictures only so I really cant help you out there....

oh yeah, and having the LED's on all the time wont do anything to your GC....
