I recently installed a Maxtor 80GB hard disk on my Xbox. I have x2.2, evox, etc. Everything went smoothly.

However, when I tried uploading my old files back into my Xbox, it uploads at crawling 50 K/sec!!! its not my network, since when I do a DVD - HD transfer within the Xbox itself, it does the same thing! It frequently freezes when I try transferring multiple files to the new HD.

However, when I DOWNLOAD files FROM the drive, it works fine, at over 1 meg/sec. I put back my old HD, and now it has the same problem! I used to be able to transfer files left and right to the old HD without problems. No more. I installed a new cable (80 pin), and still no luck.

Any suggestions? Why would it be slow to upload data to the drive, yet normal speed when I download data FROM the drive? Please help!
