Just order the bare OEM drive today, i'm thinking about using this patch. Anyone else use this patch or anything else beside the official, any issues? Any feedback is welcome thanks.

I'm using it, so far no issues for me backing up my xbox games. That's all I've done with it. Never tried ripping DVDs, and I use 4x DVD-r (princo ie cheap) media. I personally wouldn't use the 2x function on 1x media though...
