1.0 Xbox, Xecuter2.2L+ (Which I've soldered all points with wires, including the alternate d0)
Alright, correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the xbox FRAG if I don't have the external switch hooked up and d0 is properly aligned? LED4 is on, and I used a multimeter to check as well, and d0 got a signal. So what gives? |

What exactly is happening now?
Connect the switch up to the Executer and boot it up with the Chip turned ON. Do you see the Cromwell BIOS screen? Throw me a bone here, I can't help you out unless you describe your problem in greater detail. |

The MS dash still boots up with the switch connected and turned on.

(If you're trying to include the problems I described a few days ago, don't. That's a different mobo.)
I took my chip and soldered 30 gauge wire onto all the points, then soldered wach wire onto its corresponding LPC point, and the alternate d0 point. I checked each point with a multimeter, and got a signal on each one. With my switch hooked up, and turned on (On, Unprotected, Bank 1), the MS dash still loads. So I tried taking off the switch, hoping to at least get the Xbox to FRAG. However, it's still loading the MS dash. |

The only thing I can think of is that your modchip has been flashed with an M$ bios (unlikely) or has not been flashed with any BIOS at all.
Do you have access to an Executer external programmer? |

No, I don't.
But, if I disconnect the external switch, shouldn't it still FRAG, regardless of if I have a bios flashed on it or not? |

The xbox will not frag if you dont have an external chip. It also will not frag with a blank mod-chip. No bios found on mod-chip = boot from tsop bios. |

I have the chip, and it came preflashed.
Is there any way I can know for sure if it was flashed or not? |

A programmer is able to read the bios.

I'm sorry to say, this is wrong. If d0 is grounded, the xbox boots to LPC, if there is a bios, the xbox boots, if not, it frags. Thats all there is to it. |

But I used my multimeter to check it.
I put one end on the front d0, and the other end on my mod chip. My chip is wired to the alt d0 on the back of the mobo. I got a signal, which means that it's hooked up properly. So when I disconnect the external switch, the xbox should FRAG. But it's not. Does anyone have any possible reasons? |
