ok i was reading on how to swap my old xbox hd for a new hd. i have the engimah chip nwo i am rreading that after flashing the tosop i wont need the mod chip ne more? and then whats the switch for? if i dotn need to make it on an doff whats the switch for the?

i don't know why you would need a switch neither. i just cut the bad boys off. maybe people are trying to share the mod chip and so they don't wanna cut the cords. also, if they are not flashing the bios, they might need the switch for xbox live, etc. but, i really dunno...
