Have some game deletions for you. Alot of these are for games we already have deletions for, and if this is the case, just add it to Balugabutt's list. I sent him a few e-mails a couple days ago but never got a response so I decided to post these. All of my deletions are based on USA consoles with USA games, so if your from the PAL region some deletions might alter your gaming experience.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Unneeded Stuff:

/TEXT/french.gxt
/TEXT/german.gxt
/TEXT/italian.gxt
/TEXT/spanish.gxt

Additional Space Saved ~1.7mb

Not saving hardly any space here at all but these are completely useless regional files. Game runs fine without them.

Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 2 - USA

Video Deletions:

/Video/attract_50.xmv
/Video/attract_60.xmv
/Video/ea_de_50.xmv
/Video/ea_de_60.xmv
/Video/ea_en_50.xmv
/Video/ea_en_60.xmv
/Video/ea_fr_50.xmv
/Video/ea_fr_60.xmv
/Video/gameplay1_50.xmv
/Video/gameplay1_60.xmv
/Video/gameplay2_50.xmv
/Video/gameplay2_60.xmv
/Video/kromelogo_50.xmv
/Video/kromelogo_60.xmv
/Video/recap_50.xmv

Space Saved ~167mb

There is one more file in the folder named recap_60.xmv. If you don't want the intro either, just delete the whole /Video Folder. But, if you want to keep the intro just delete everything in the folder but that one file.

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick

Video Deletions:

/XMV/30FPS4x3/making.xmv

Space Saved ~409mb

Saves a good chunk of space, was originally missed buy the guy who posted the first deletions. Just the making of video.

Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf

Video Deletions:

/movie/60/Attract.bik
/movie/60/MAIntro.bik

Space Saved ~56mb

The Attract.bik is self explanatory, but the MAIntro.bik could appear to be the game's intro to the naked eye. Upon further inspection, it is actually the 4 company logos in disguise. Was overlooked before.

World Soccer Winning Eleven 8

Regional Files:

/f_sound.afs
/g_sound.afs
/i_sound.afs
/s_sound.afs
/s_text.afs

Space Saved ~1.05gb (1,057mb)

Great deletions here, nothing more than French, German, Italian and Spanish sound and text files. Game runs flawless without them, and you save 1gb of space. Only thing is, don't try and select any language other than English from the options menu once deleted or you'll get a DDE, but why would you do this anyway? The intro to the game is also here and the file is called we8u.xmv. If you wanted to remove the intro to save another ~40mb, delete it and test. If you get a DDE, replace with a blank.xmv instead. Didn't test this because I like to keep my intros.

Hope you enjoyed these deletions. I'll take a look at NBA Street V3 soon and see what I can come up with. Peace. beerchug.gif

Scaler

Movie Replacements:

/Movies/a2m_logo.bik
/Movies/allgems.bik
/Movies/Demo1.bik
/Movies/Demo2.bik
/Movies/GS_Logo.bik
/Movies/LEGAL_EN.bik

Regional Files:

/global/NEW/DE
/global/NEW/FR
/level/NEW/BOSS01/DE
/level/NEW/BOSS01/FR
/level/NEW/BOSS02/DE
/level/NEW/BOSS02/FR
/level/NEW/BOSS03/DE
/level/NEW/BOSS03/FR
/level/NEW/BOSS04/DE
/level/NEW/BOSS04/FR
/level/NEW/BOSS05/DE
/level/NEW/BOSS05/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL01/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL01/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL02/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL02/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL03/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL03/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL04/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL04/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL05/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL05/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL06/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL06/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL07/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL07/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL08/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL08/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL09/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL09/FR
/level/NEW/LEVEL10/DE
/level/NEW/LEVEL10/FR
/level/NEW/LOGBOOK/DE
/level/NEW/LOGBOOK/FR
/level/NEW/TITLE/DE
/level/NEW/TITLE/FR
/level/NEW/WORLDMAP/DE
/level/NEW/WORLDMAP/FR

Space Saved ~205mb

All of these files are either logos, attract videos, or regional files. Game runs
fine without them.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2

Video Deletables:

/video/attract.xmv
/video/esrb.xmv
/video/logoredstorm.xmv
/video/logoubi.xmv

Space Saved ~38mb

More useless attract and logo videos. You also have the option to delete mission briefing videos, the intro and ending, etc, but like I said before I keep those things and don't consider them deletables as they are a part of the game.

Again, any game that I list deletions for that we already have, just add them to the list and update the total mb saved by adding the amount I post. More to come.

Like I said, alot of these (not all) are for games that are already listed on Balugabutt's website, but NOTHING I posted is actually listed on his site. They're for games we already have deletions for, but are completely different than what he has listed. So, add these to what is listed on his site, and you have even more to delete and a complete list of whats removable. If you read my post, you'd see I said this above twice. smile.gif

Winning Eleven 8 is brand new, no one has done it yet, and the other games are new deletables no one has mentioned yet. I spent hours finding and testing all of these, and they hadn't been mentioned before. Check his site again, look closely and compare my list with his. They are different, and simply need to be added to his list and not compared. I took HIS list and removed what I listed, that much more. Get what I mean? Which also means that most people don't find everything that can be deleted and aren't as thorough as they should be if they are to contribute.

Not only that, but some of the games on his website that really don't have any worthy deletions are listed as having in-game movies as deletables. It's hard to keep everything organized if one person lists them as deleting all the in-game movies and another likes to keep them. I myself keep in-game movies, intro and credits which is something someone else might delete, so my deletions list might look different than someone else's. That's why its hard to keep it organized all the time. If it were up to me, if the only thing a game had that was deletable were in-game movies, I would simply list it as having "no deletables."

It's probably gonna be different for everyone based on what they would personally delete, so its better to do testing yourself and see what works best for you. The only things I can think of that would be a consensus for deletions would be logos, regional files, demos, and xbox live files.

i found some file replacements..... oh yea and im new here whats up everyone?

Tony Hawks 2X ..... replace all of the files in \movies with the blank bik, renamed for each of those movies, it saves about 600 megs, and if anyone needs the already renamed blank biks to just copy over, let me know.....

Tony Hawks 4- do the same with its movies folder, it saves 1.1gigs, making the game 380megs as opposed to 1500megs...... also have those biks too

For this one use the blank.xmv to replace all the files in the movie directory. You should save around 300 meg

also the usual ones in the root directory can be deleted aswell.

Does anyone have a blank .MAD file? I mean, one that doesn't have that stupid EA logo in it. Just a plain black one.
