I was just about to click order on eb2k's site when i read the news this morning!

I got an xbox under the xmas tree and a mate of mine suggested i chiped it and save on games... so i came to the site and read up on the modding etc and wanted to order the no solder chameleon.

despite the fact that i was put off by all the flaming posts about how bad eb2k is and that the service is horrific i was blinded by the thought that i had to get a chip...

all turned out to me filling in the form to order but i didnt! (THANK GOD)

If this Xenium chip is made by Xodus and OZX together and are not going via EB2k then I think i should get it from them... right?

I need to know if anyone knows ETA of the chip or any more details ( i wouldnt expect this chip to have less features than any other chip on the market right?)

I have heard about the Xodus problems eb2k caused and the hijacked chip so I guess Xodus is retaliating and fighting back with this release.


If this is real then I will go for this all the way!
Who would want to buy an older chip anyway ?

this chip is probably going to have more features than any other chip on the market. i wouldn't expect anything until late jan or even feb 2004

the xbox i got came with 2 games and the kid can play those until the chip is out wink.gif

Nothing in XODUS history suggests this at all. OzXodus will have their first chip sooner than you suggest.. early 1st Quater 2004.

Speculations will get u nowhere!
At least there is a team that doesnt cock around for their achievements,
doesnt set release dates without the full working product at hand and doesnt
makes changes (revisions) along the way like other "teams"!
1000% working product without any bugs!

My opinion is by even making it public the fact that they are working on a chip,
something is cooking!
Patience is a virtue!
Maybe we will get a nice surprise soon!

As for two teams working together for a common task, i dont think it would be a setback!
Mutually understanding and common tasks is required for cooperation and if they didnt
have it they wouldnt have merged!

the ozxodus site already has pictures of the new chip and it looks like a beefed up chameleon with the matrix port swapped out for a ribbon cable.
