1st of all, let me say pogo pins are a waste of time, i ended up soldering wires from the pins to the connections to make d0 work.
I installed the chip, all lights, no problem I used evolution x 2.2 bios (only one i could find on short notice), made 1024k file with xbios manager as shown in tutorial FlashBios came up, loaded my bios cd, yellow bar went by, then green, then xbox turned off as expected. Turned on the xbox, removed cd, replaced with evox iso disc, turned off, waited for tray to retract and box to power down I burned evox 1.8.3682 to cd-rw as instructed observing the low burn speed, unclick Joliet, Disc-at-Once, etc Turned on xbox, it gave me the MS splash screen (with MS underneath xbox logo), booted to the ms dashboard and told me my disc was not recognized I've tried reburning several times, unplugging the external switch, nothing changes. The leds are still all 3 lit when external switch is disconnected or set to disable, green turns off when switch is plugged in and chip is enabled, but it was this way when I booted to FlashBios Did I use a bad bios, bad evox, or flash wrong? I don't know where to go next Do I need to order an lpt flasher and reflash, use a different evox, what do i do now? |

you used which bios? i've never heard of the evolutionx 2.2 bios. go to xbins and get the 4979 repack. try that and see if it works. |
