Is it possible to take my original 8gig hd and make it work on a different xbox.

yeah you need to get the unlocking key from your old xbox (run evox or configmagic) and the new key from your new xbox. stick it in a PC and then you need to unlock it with the old key and lock it with the new one.

Is this also possible with a HD for a kernel 5530 xbox? I mean, I'm guessing that the 5530 kernel disables writes to HD? Thats the problem mine is having anyway.

Its doesnt seem to work.. got error 06
