Hey guys I know alot of newbies are gettin into makein there Xbox Better with lights and stuff i was readin posts what kind of LED's do i need for Jewel what kind of Resistors so on and so on.

Well i decided to take a short cut for all them and make it real easy and cheap.

I took apart a LED Fan and modded it to a Jewel. U can Uses this LED Strip for everythin if u wants even External lights and so on.

INSTRUCTIONS HERE!!!!!!!

Tools i used where
-Tape
-Hot Glue
-1 Blue LED Fan
-Solder
-15watt Iron
-Power connector
-Old Cdrom audio cable
-shrink tubing.

ummm, huh?? 3-4 Led's are vbright enough i think. ill post my Tutorial when i find a host for it.

These fans use super-bright LEDs and you can really see them, I used them for my jewel as well and they give off a cool glow and plug right into your hard drive cable. By the way, I can host your tutorial on my site for you if you want, just PM me...

thanks for the ideas. I used the red cath ring but it was pink and shitty, then got a 4-led fan (red) and it looks really nice. Glad you posted this.

laugh.gif thanx guys. I just figured this is easier for people, Like newbies who are scared of resistors and such. There really is nothing to this mod anyone can do it biggrin.gif

Ya i was gonna just do em parallel with resistors but this is easier and you get a free fan to boot. Go to xoxide.com for the 80mm fans guys. Its like 5.40 or so for a fan and 4 superbright leds. Cant beat it.....

While it may not be practical (for SOME people) it looks a lot easier for newbies, and they don't have to worry about resistors.

Ya sure man. Ill do it after work today. Alse u really need to remember is like Black wire to Black wire and red wire to red wire. You can see in the pics i used the same color of wire so i wouldn't confuse anyone but ya ill add a few more pics for u

I use my Cath. Ring, It really is pinkish, but i read somewhere, if you put red shrinkwrap around it, it gets darker and more red'er....
