Just wondering if anyone here has an AppleX.. Is it hard to install.. Looks like just 4 solder points. Soldering to the resistor seems a little touchy, but other then that.
Does it work as good as the Xecutor Series? Thanks |

I have an AppleX V since 2-3 weeks.
It does the job as any modchip, it has all the most recent features and you can do anything you want that can actually be done. About the installation, its pretty easy, BUT, Be careful with the solder points, they are not always well soldered, and I suggest you to solder it with Wires, all the solder points with wires instead of solder it directly on the m/b, bcz if you wanna remove it for any reason, its damn hard to do so after if its directly on the m/b. But Overall, its a good mod chip, im happy of it. |

^^ That looks like 10 wires... same as all other chips (BTW, you can ground d0 to the screw, I don't think you need to use the resistor) If you're looking for soldering ease... all chips are pretty much the same points to be soldered. |
