The bios you have probably do not point to evoxdash.xbe for the first boot option. Edit a new bios, burn an evox disc with it, and reflash your bios. I made the same mistake myself.

Having an outdated bios is one possibility. Another is that you selected the wrong option from Slayers. While rebuilding my drive earlier today I somehow managed to install evox, skins, trainers, etc to the F drive instead of the C drive. I think the apps and music directories also went to F instead of E.

Id you have a working network connection you cna fix using ftp, as I did. Or you can try selecting a different install option. I'm not sure which option built to F:, but the first two times I used Slayer's I didn't have that problem.

Hello.

I am relatively new to xbox tampering. I bought a chipped v1.0 with executor v1, a few years ago, already pre-installed with some apps. I recently upgraded all the apps using slayers 2.5 whcich worked well. i then foolishly decided (as it seemed so simple - LMAO) to rebuild my drive using slayers standard drive rebuild + Evox + all apps.
Now it will only boot to the standard xbox dash.
I am pc literate, so understand the principles, but am still having trouble.

I now have connection to my xbox via flashfxp, when the slayers disc is in.

I have checked my .ini file and that appears ok.
[Misc]

# Retail HD config Created by SlaYer for the SlaYer's EvoX Auto-Installer v2.5

AutoLaunchGames = No
AutoLaunchDVD = No
DVDPlayer = "e:Appsdvdxdefault.xbe"
AutoLaunchAudio = Yes
#AudioPlayer = "c:xboxdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard = "c:xboxdash.xbe"
UseFDrive = Yes
UseGDrive = Yes
SkinName = Gears
IGR = Yes
UseItems = No
ScreenSaver = 10
Fahrenheit = Yes
ShadeLevel = 90
EnableSMART = Yes
HDD_Temp_ID = 194
DebugTSR = No
ChameleonLed = 15

Also in the route of C I have an
evoxdash.xbe, and
xboxdash.xbe
but no default.xbe??? should there be one?

All the apps games etc seem to be on e:

And , I suppose I should be honest I believe I may have tried to update the bios as a last attempt to fix, but I am sure, it said Done, followed by an error saying the bios area wasnt writeable, and the sysytem did not treset afterwards as expected, so I believe the flash may have been unsuccessful anyway.

I have tried toi give as much info as I can, as I have tried to search for my particular issues unsuccesfully. If anyone can shed some light I would be very grateful. Please ask if there's anything else you need to know.

Thanks and Regards

make a copy of your xboxdash.xbe and then rename it to msxboxdashe.xbe
and the rename your evoxdash.xbe to xboxdashe.xbe
then change your ini files from

MSDashBoard = "c:xboxdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard = "c:msxboxdash.xbe"

or you can try flashing with a newer bios.
