I'm having problems FTP'ing my Xbox so I was thinking...

Could I just take out the original Xbox HD, put it into a PC, back it up to the PC's HD, Then transfer over the backed up files onto the bigger HD I plan on installing into the Xbox? I see no reason why not, but not totally sure.

I need to get my bigger HD up and running ASAP, I'll work on the FTP issue later.

An easy way to unlock/lock your Xbox hdd is to use an app called configmagic and unlock it. You need your hdd to be in the xbox for this. then after it will be unlocked, but after there is another problem, the xbox drive is formatted in FATX, not in FAT32, so the pc wont be able to read whats on the hdd.
Then I dont know what you have to do, but even if you would know it, its damn longer and more touchy than do a simple FTP to your xbox, read tutorials careful, its simple when you have a tutorial.. very simple, you can find them in the tutorials section here on this site.

Maybe it is too much trouble. I'll keep on trying to FTP it.

Thanks.
