I just backed up one of my dvds to my HDD. I am unsure of what i should use to play it. I have tried yamp, xbmc and xbmp. I still cant get it to play!!! I don't want to turn it into avis either. Is it possible to play it? Thanks.

i have used dvd2xbox to backup a dvd onto my xbox HD. I was able to play the movie with XBMP, you will need to choose one of the vob files.

I copyed it to my HDD using XBcopy, but that doenst make a difference. I think maybe the prob is that it is PAL. My xbox is PAL though so im not sure what i should change or if i should change anything. When i try to play it it just pauses on the first frame of the vob file. The files are also less than 1gb.

As far as I know there is no great way to backup movies to your xbox HDD. About the best way you can do it is copy it to your PC HDD, re-code it as divx then put it on your xbox HDD and it runs good. But that takes a long time! If you have a dvd recorder on your PC, it is best to use a program like dvd shrink to back them up onto one dvd-r. Then of course you could play this in the xbox...

laugh.gif DVD2XBOX is crap when backing-up DVD Movies , i made a backup of my DVD of Pirates Of The Caribean and i saw that it wasted 7GB's blink.gif , it wouldnt be a bad idea of adding DVD2AVI on DVD2XBOX. ph34r.gif
