Hello,

My friend just got a new xbox v1.4 with unfortunately the new philips drive which is very picky on dvd-r media.

All the brands I've used so far for backups do not work : Primco 1x, primco 1x-4x, Memorex 1x-4x, Maxwell, Emtec 1x ..

Has anybody had succes with a least one other brand to save him ??

Thanks,

Samusa89

I've tried Ritek on the new Philips DVD ROm's and it only works on the first try. For some reason, this dvdrom drive, all media work only on the first try and after that it stops. There's a sticky thread on this Philips dvdrom issue.
