hi everybody,

i have just tried the laser adjustement on my thomson dvd drive and i put it to 950 ohms, i would like to know which cd-r work fine with the adjustement done if someone how read this post have already do it and have found the good cd-r smile.gif

hey, i did this aswell, but still couldnt get it to read my memorex cdr's (48spd). any one get it to read cdr's and what kind?

How did you break it l2u84n? did you break the pot?

he probably just set the resistance too low and burned out the laser.

my thompson would not read anything, only dvd-r +r and those would give dde after a few hours of play ( except for verbatim datalifeplus dvd's) , i had a resistance of about 2600 ohms before tweaking the thompson, i tweaked it down to 1300, It will now read sony cd/rw, memorex cd/rw and plays memorex and tdk dvd's fine, but it still does not read cdr's
