The Xbox is limitted to 38 Characters long names for files. If they are bigger they wont be transfered.

Brilliant! I've been ripping my hair out trying to transfer stubborn mp3's over. This info should be in big fat flashing letters under a category Basic Xbox Rules.

Or, it might be because you're using XCommander...

I've found that some SNES and Mega Drive ROMs won't copy from disc to the HD with XCommander - even thoght they have short names and valid characters. I don't know what the problem is there, but since using XToolBox to do my transferring, I've had no problems.
