does anyone know if there is a bios that will let you play our full version xbox games on xbox live? or even the copied games on xbox live?

no....I wouldn't run the risk of getting banned by trying to run copied games.

Many people have run their matrix's in mode3 and disabled the chip successfully for XBL. I don't trust myself so I'm using a switch instead.

Am I right in saying that if one has a locked new hdd, is running the original xboxdash.xbe as normal and is using a bios that boots to yboxdash.xbe or similar (which is evoxdash) then one can use the 'play live' function on eg: Unreal Champ. and update the original dashboard without any issues?

I am not talking about going online itself, but updating the dashboard.

Thanks

well the problem with updating the dashboard is that you have to connect to Live to do it (from what I've read). Once you connect to Live, it checks for a unsigned BIOS. So you shouldn't have your chip enabled when you update or you'll get banned.
