Putting Emulator On Xbox, using boot disc method

X-S Member Group: Members Posts: 131 Joined: 22-January 04 Member No.: 94323	Ok, I downloaded Surreal, and since i dont have a crossover cable or anything like that I had to make a boot disc to install. Only problem is when i put the disc in, it just comes up to the regular dash thing. When I made my iso using craxation, i had a folder called N64 EMU. In the N64 EMU folder i had boxplorer's default.xbe. Also in the N64 EMU folder i had two other sub folders - one for surreal and one for my roms. I added the main N64 EMU folder in Craxation and made iso. I burned using nero and Memorex CD-RW (which have worked for installing bios and dash). I put the CD into my drive and the main dash just came up. I tried using boxplorer from the dash and it wouldnt even go to my dvd drive. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

X-S Senior Member Group: Members Posts: 163 Joined: 19-January 03 Member No.: 20298	Do you have evox? If so just burn the files onto a CDRW that you want to put on your xbox and use any one of the various file explorer programs on xbox to copy those files over onto your hard drive.

hey this is how i installed mines i made a apps folder then squerrl and inside, i used the boxeplore emthod beacsue i could not connect to my comp. And used mastertito4, guide to ftp by my dvd drive. When u finish u have to edit teh squerl.ini

AFter i restarted and every thing was working

X-S X-perience Group: Members Posts: 341 Joined: 20-August 03 Member No.: 57287	it sounds like you didnt burn the disc correctly. try putting in a dummy file. did you go into nero and click file and burn image? also, before you make it a iso, edit rom path in the surreal ini file, if you dont, it will not able to find your roms.
