Hy....

I m a newb here and have a question smile.gif
I m using Unleash X Dashboard and wanted to know how to see the news??? If i connect the xbox directly to the modem, then what settings i need to modify??? Or is it possible to connect from xbox directly to the modem( i mean like directly to internet, No computer between the xbox and modem???) is it possible??

And also is there any program like Internet Explorer or smth, basicli just the need to watch some websites for news and so( no need to type realy much biggrin.gif) Is there any programs avaible like that??I have heard that there is a program for browsing email, maybe then there is a program like IE smile.gif

yes, i think it's possible, i know people are doing it
as for the programs to use, i am not famiar with any borwsers for XBOX, but you could just put Linux on it, and use any linux browser.

actually the problem is that o dont want and CANT install linux, cause my modchip (aladin Advanced) is flash protected, i mean in the information menu it sais that the BIOS is protected :S dont know what to do about it, but still, how to connect the xbox directly to the web..so i could use Bo-Xlink and other web programs???

just plug the modem directly into the xbox, if it is dhcp it will assign an ip for the xbox and all the dns information and you'll be online

as far as web browsers for the xbox, no they don't have a program out like the dreamcast's web browser, not that i'm aware of anyway.
