Hey, before I start - I dont pirate, I dont condone piracy, I buy all my games!

Was reading through a couple of threads about the new Bond and all the fixes etc from pirate groups and was wondering this,

How do they make fuckups like that? I mean, dont they basically do exactly what we do to backup? FTP across, create ISO then RAR and TAR? Or do they just come across problems like the rest of us? How do the bad files etc come about, just general probs with boXploer and DVD2Xbox and the rest?

I personally havnt any trouble making any backups in the 6 months Ive had a modded box for. Its been bliss being able to let the little 'un and his mates on it with the knowledge that only the controller will be against the wall and not the disc when he gets beat on FIFA lol

Anyway, just idle thoughts...

I make a practice of reading their NFOs trying to figure out if these "fixes" or "cracks" are something that just fix their shitty release or if they're something that paying customers should be aware of. I also read the NFOs to anticipate any protection in upcoming games. After years of reading these NFOs, it seems that these groups are in such a rush to get releases out that they use pre-release versions or international versions and try to pass them off as final releases.

It's a matter of carelessness, and pirates rightfully suffer.
