Hey has anyone set up an 2dvd (original and an external standard dvd drive) w/1hd with a power switch to power dvd drive "a" or "b"? I've checked out some of the different tutorials using similar set ups but not a power switch per say..maybe I missed it.. I've found a kit for a 2hd 1dvd set up with a power switch to control the harddrives but will this work with the 2dvd 1hd set up. anyway if anyone has tried this or has some insight let me know.

Xbox Version: v1.0
The XBOX DVD has a special power connector, so it's not switchable like the other. You may be able to find an IDE cable switcher, but I don't imagine they'd be cheap, or guarantee they would work.

I'll right I see yea there is a tutorial on setting up a switch on the Bus enable line of the ide cable looks like it is farliy simple maybe i'll try it later thanks for the info

further does it matter if the xbox drive is on as long as there is nothing in it or is it going to be sending a signal to the mother board and messing things up
having to many devices on the cable?
