when i have my mod chip (xecuter 2.3b lite) enabled my xbox turns on and off three time and on the last time when i tiurns on it just flashes green and red. but my xbox works with it off.

what bios(es) do you have flashed on your chip? is it possible that you had a bad flash? are you sure the chip is connected properly?

I've had sort of the same problem but I get it after I flash and try to load up EvoX (Slayers).

I assume my flash is working because when I see the green X just underneath it says Xecuter2.

I am ready to drive my head into a wall

have you tried to flash it yet?
if not, you have a bad allignment issue or bad connection.
if you have flashed it and both banks a fuc..ed... then you would need a programmer or do a hotswap!

if you have the xecuter underneath the logo, you are good to go. forget slayer, make your self a nice evox boot disk and rock and roll smile.gif

not unless the bios they got was corrupted, make sure you get it from the "usual places", i recommend getting a lpt programmer, very useful and handy.

Since I am so very new at this I thought I would load a auto installer and play around with it from there.

I am trying to burn the auto installer for EvoX but everytime I burn the premade ISO and insert it into my xbox it restarts the xbox 3 times and the last time flashes red and green.

If I load let th BIOS load (I have the delay option on) and then load the ISO CDRW my system tells me it cannot read this type of disk.

Perhaps I am not burning it correctly.

I did have a dummy file (37.5M) but I am adding it as a second file on the disk. I just read somewhere that I should crack open Slayers, change evox.ini network settings and add the dummy file. The pack it back together using Craxtion and then do a simple burn of that file.

Nero is being a pain, everytime I run it it states my trial has expired even though I just got Nero6 demo. So I am using just a standard burning program. Could that be causing the issue as well?

add your dummie file in the same folder and rename dummie to abc.dat or 1.dat

Ok here is perhaps where I am getting confused. I have renamed it but at what point do I add it to the "folder"?

Are we talking about adding abc.dat to the files that I extracted from slayers and then create an ISO out of all of it

or

the slayer usually comes ready to use with a dummie file, all you have to do is burn it and load it in xbox drive.
if you`ll change anything in slayer before burning you need to extract it and change whatever and make it iso again.
so, if you have trouble getting slayer to load, try different media.
but i never use slayer so i`m not sure what exactly you prob is unsure.gif
