A mate in an former job on mine told me that there is a program that will play avi's on your modded ps2. But i forgot to ask him the URL for the site from where he got it.

So does anyone know where to get it?

Sometimes files that say .avi are actually divx codec with an avi extension.

The PS2media player will play divx movies but I dont think that there is any software that will play a normal .avi (non divx) file on a PS2 though.

However if you have ffmpeg (or some software like that you can convert .avi to divx format that will work with the mediaplayer)
