you can use something like the linksys wrv54G and set up a tunnel between each other. If you already have a router and just want a tunnel device then the linksys BEFVP41 should work just fine.

Been doing some work into this at work. It cant be done with M$ VPN you need to pass netbios over the VPN and the only way to do this with software is to bridge the end of the tunnle to a real (spare) NIC and this M$ does not allow.
And yes you are correct the only way to do this is with some expensive Cisco kit, I to got it working but it was a mine field, Just for the record!
All I would like is a .xbe that will let you connect you your mates IP with out all the other chat room bollox..

Just for the record, the sonicwall soho tzw works beautifully as well so you don't NEED cisco.

Yea I know... but you can still use what I first suggested. the Linksys BEFVP41, it'll put netbios over the tunnel. On the advanced page for the vpn in that device is a check box that says NetBIOS Broadcast, just check it and it'll work. That's the one I have. I forget how much it is, but it isn't cisco/sonicwall prices...

Sorry I'm not familiar with msft vpn but any of their networking hardware I never recommend compared to linksys or dlink.
