What do you plan to do with slayers...
Is it to format a HD or install evox maybe??? A little more info please, but I think I get what you are saying and if you are trying to install evox you have to boot it with the boot disk, then FTP the xbox and put the evox files in the C directory

If you're installing slayers and don't care about anything on your old HD, (Game saves, music, etc), just let Slayers format and install everything and be done with it.

and if you care about the game saves just snag a memory card from someone real quick and copies them. then format away with slayer's.

you can't FTP without installing a dashboard, which is what slayers is for. Install evox then ftp into your xbox.

Thanks for the replies...its the original HD so theres nothing really on it...I want to use the feature that Slayers has to offer. After reading the tut's it looks pretty impressive. I do plan on FTPing to my PC later. Thanks
