Ok I fragged my motherboard, by lifting multiple traces. Now my friends dad is a very good electrician, so hes trying to fix it. He said he fixed the traces, but when he plugs in the modchip it doesnt boot, it frags. But when he takes it off, it boots fine, but errors, because the hdd isnt locked to the mobo. Is it a bad chip or is it my d0 point? Thanks for all the help.

The problem with a post like this is somebody's gotta be psychic to figure out what the problem is. If your box works fine without the chip(what kind?) then it has to be either how it's hooked up(d0 is likely), the chip itself, or the bios loaded on it.
