Anyone choosing to conduct any sort of transaction with another member on XS does so at their own risk and expense.

As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.

If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.

Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)

People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.

Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.

Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade. What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.

UPDATE:Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.

UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.

Do Not Offer to Buy, Sell, or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. Members can get their own subscriptions.

UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

It worked fine for a few hours and then froze. When I rebooted it, it started FRAGing. I opened it up to see if a cable had maybe come loose, and tried switching the HD with the original he sent me but still no go. So I then make a post requesting prices for repairs, as luv2trade24 seemed to ignore me whenever I was online. Then after I made that post he IM's me back and I tell him about the problem. I then agree to send it to him (I had to pay for shipping, which came to $15) Well UPS tracking told me it was delivered 2 weeks ago, and I couldn't get in touch with him. After many IM's and emails, he finaly emails me back today claiming that I "mangled" the xbox and he wouldn't repair it. I did nothing but Switch the hard drives, and I do that in computer 20 times a day, so Im certain I didn't "mangle" anything by doing that. I had it professionaly packaged at the UPS store so I doubt it was damaged in transit. He claims screws are missing from the mobo, but I never removed it. So now he has my $280, I'm out $15 for shipping it back, and I have nothing. He has the xbox and says he will send it back to me broken if I have ups go pick it up, or send him more money. So I can pay another $20 for him to ship a broken xbox back to me that was broken in the first place. So i'm out my money, and no xbox for the past 3 weeks. What do you guys recommend I do?

I made that post before I sent it back to him. I had no reason to open the xbox if it worked, thats why I bought a pre-mod.

That is what I am going to start doing tomorow. I tried looking up his info, but nothing listed. I tried searching by name or address in any white-pages type site I could find. I have his address, from when I sent it back to him. Although I don't advoate violence, I had some friends near his area that can help me out if it goes that far.

That's actually a few days old, I posted a reply to let people know to not deal with him, and I will continue to do that in every thread he makes.

X-S Senior Member Group: Members Posts: 240 Joined: 8-September 03 From: Buffalo, NY Member No.: 61168 Xbox Version: v1.0 360 version: v5.0 (360S - trinity)	best way to get your money back: threaten (or actually do it if you want to) turn him in for piracy..you can do this from many sites......i think xbox.com even has a link....... if you paid throught money order: turn him in for mail fraud if you paid through paypal: (and paypal does not give you your money back) i think you can turn him in for credit card fraud. also, if you have his address you can turn him in through his local police department. or, if you have his paypal address you can get his address that way (if you need help getting his address, phone number, etc, etc pm me all the info you have like paypal address or shipping address and i will get you his phone number) i have done that for a couple of other people (xbox-savage being one) and he got his stuff back.

the easiest way to get your stuff back is to

threaten (or actually do, up to you) to turn the person for piracy through MS. chance's are if they are selling anything, and really scam someone, they have something illegal in there house. ive gotten many of thing's back from doing that.

IF ANYONE NEED'S HELP TO GET SOMEONE'S ADDRESS AND YOU HAVE HIS PAYPAL EMAIL, FEEL FREE TO PM IT TO ME AND I WILL GET IT FOR YOU. I CAN GET YOU AS MUCH INFO AS YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO THE PERSON. (ie address, phone number, etc, etc)

i do that for alot of people on other forums and 90% of the time it works on getting them there stuff/muney back......
