I've read many people reccommend SEAGATE and MAXTOR hard drives. I see that HITACHI and WESTERN DIGITAL are cheaper.

Capacity - 200 GB
Rotational Speed - 7200 RPM
Interface standard - ATA Ultra 100
Average seek time - 8.5 ms
8MB buffer option for super-fast access to data
Reliability

Thats for the HITACHI I got. Is there a reason one is reccommended over the other?

compatability issues- some harddrives are unable to be locked and that means no xbox live. most seagates and wd hdds are lockable that y theyre recommended. try out ure hitachi in ure xbox and see if it can be locked. if it can then ure set! tongue.gif
