Best Version? Options

ie the fan being over heatsink on the gpu
the conexant video encoder vs the focus
I was curios as to which had the better equipment with it
(I have a 1.0 and a 1.3 and im going to throush out the old case and make it look real cool, and leave the other alone.)

1.0 are noisy as they've 2 fans,
1.0 and 1.1 are older PSU type, so when they crap out in future, may be akward to get spares
1.2 is quieter and uses the ATX psu, so easier to get spares
1.3 as 1.2

1.4/1.5 have focus video encoder, which some claim gives out a 'sharper' picture than the connexant


if you're hacking it, a 1.2 or 1.3 is the 'best'

otherwise anything after 1.2 will do

There isn't a best... any minor revision which MAY have been made, would be so minor that any user would not be able to notice.

For example, the fact that a 1.0 Xbox is louder than later versions is news to me... Guess I just don't listen... since I have a 12v fan mod...

I still prefer 1.1's ... maybe because that's the most common version for samsungs to show up in Canada.

i say v1.1 for a couple reasons. 1024k TSOP, fanless GPU heatsink, no usb daughterboard, and for the samsung commonness.
