I really like the firewire and s/pdif extras. know of any with same features? i'm also considering overclocking when it gets older/increasingly-outdated.

The best alternatives out there imho are:

1) Slightly Older but dang good overclocker with tonnes of modded bioses - ABIT NF7-S REVISION 2.0

2) Current ABIT AN7

3) DFI LANPARTY NForce2 B or DFI INFINITY NForce2

Number 1 and 3 are proven overclockers' board although number 2 is good but not as proven yet coz it's still rather new. You could do voltage mods on both ABIT and DFI boards and it's rock stable.
