I have had my modded xbox for over a year now and have never had problems trying to ftp. Not even the first time. I have always used flashfxp. But I got a virus on my computer, so I backed everything up and reinstalled windows. Three days later I tried to connect and it wouldn't work. My hub has a light on it showing that it knows the xbox is there. But evox and xbox media center both have 0.0.0.0 as my ip. Whenever I look at my local area connects status it has 169.254.250.229 as my ip address. Before I reinstalled windows, I made it use 192.168.0.3. I tried that and it still didn't work. Maybe someone can help me out.
Thanks, Cliff |

169.x.x.x is an internal ip error. go to my network places -> local area connection and right click -> properties. set the ip to 192.168.0.1. press start and goto run. type cmd and type ipconfig. make your evox.ini match your network setup. make sure it's on STATIC and set the default gateway and subnet to match what ipconfig gave you. as for ip, make it 192.168.0.2. try that.

I have two different programs of evox on my xbox. One worked for 3 connects after I did the above. Then it stopped working again. Now avalaunch says 0.0.0.0 errx. Evox says 192.168.100.10. And the evox that once worked says 192.168.0.3. I don't have a firewall up. I thought that maybe something got messed up after i reinstalled windows. But I will try anthing to get them connect. My hub knows the the xbox is connected to the pc. But I don't know if the xbox knows it or it the pc knows it.
