this is my first xbox mod that went bad out of hundereds that i did. After wokring fine with aladdin, the next day i turned on the xbox it frags....
Though it can't be a big problem checked all points, d0 etc all looked good.

Now it still frags with no chip in, no broken tracks anything like that. Its a v1 (with the fan). Anyone has any suggestions? or do i hang the mb on the wall and sell the drive ?

If it just goes bad sitting there, there isn't much to diagnose the problem with. Try booting with a different chip.

the most common problems are the lpc point with the 2 traces going to it (if it's damaged it frags with chip on and off), or the d0 point being damaged (doesn't need to be visible to be damaged)
