I just modded a friends xbox with a Xenium. Everything seemed to work fine and flashed fine using a bios (evox M7) from a CDR. Problem is, the box won't load any burned discs. Plays factory games just fine. Will flash off a CDR that has the evox dash and the bios on it (so I know it can read the disc some how).

I changed the bios colors so I know it is loading the bios properly.

I put my thompson drive in it and it works like a charm (CDRs, DVD game backups, etc). No problems at all. Put his Samsung drive in my box and it doesn't load a damn thing.

I read in the archives where a very few people had problems just like this but found no solution.

To reiterate, both boxes work great with all media types using a thompson drive and none of the media types with the samsung.

Thoughts?

xbox drives are picky. this has been posted before. The surefire way to correct for an xbox to read everything is to get a samsung 616t which is a pc drive modded to work with an xbox. Since its a pc drive it is meant to read cheap media. FRANK
