OK..I tried to get help in an OLD posts..seems like it has been abondoned...so I will make my own post..maybe someone can help me out.
I was asking 2 things: 1.) How can I upgrade the BIOS on my executer chip? (currently has build v.4979)?? (cant remember off hand) I was told to A.) make a folder called BIOS on my the X-Box C: drive...and place any BIOS files I want in there...then go to Evolution-X (build v. 3935) and use the BIOS FLASH Utility in there... Where is it?..I have looked all around..nothing!,.....only thing close I have found was a BIOS CHECKER app...(did see anyway to flash in there)..so my question is..WHERE IS IT???? and ow do I upgrade my current BIOS? 2.) Also how do I go about updating all the APPZ slayers pus on thee for us? From what I have been reading these are ALL out of date..is there a place (maybe a sticky) that lists (and is updated) with all the current APPZ that we use..and their curent builds? I would like to know what appz are out of date..so I can update these...also is it as easy as just FTP'ing in..and over writing the APP foder I want to update?..or is ther critical info held inside the specific appz directory I need to back up?..settings?..profiles?..anything like on these appz? thanks (especially to anyone who actually POSTS answers.. ) -whispers- |

There are several ways to flash your bios from the xbox, the two i use Evolution-X and Flash-X, both are obtained from the usual source as well as the bios, if you want the most up to date bios then get a copy of the xecuter 4983 bios use the 4983.06 if you have a stock hard drive or the 4983.67 if you have a hard drive larger than 137 gigs.
To Flash the bios using evo-x there should be a bios file in the root of your evolution-x folder, for example if your evo-x das is installed on C:\\evolutionx\\ then you want to make a new folder called bios inside there. You then use the flash bios tool inside the settings menu of evo-x you may have to enable this by deleting the "#" from in front of the function in you evox.ini file. To flash the bios using Flash-x install that as an app you can launch, then make a folder called bios on any either your C:, E: or F: drives, when you launch flash-x you will have to look for the bios ( you'll see what i mean when you load it), then just open your bios select the banks you want to flash and prees Y then X. Hope that helps you. |

you use 4983.06 if you have larger hdd, 4983.67 if >137, just go with the .06, it works with both sizes anyways, and it wont hurt, just set it to have one large F: drive (unless you want and F: and a G:)
you will have to edit the evox.ini file, add something along the lines of autoadditem, ill post my section of the .ini file when i get home from school if i remember |

This is what I did: (real easy steps for anyone to follow)
1.) Make a folder on your XBOX C:/BIOS 2.) FTP any ALL of the possible BOIS you would want to use 3.) Add "Item "Flash BIOS",@1" to your evox.ini file (in the MENU section...anywhere) 4.) Reboot...you should have FLASH BIOS option in menu now....select it..and it will list all your flashes you have in the directory. 5.) select your flash...your done. (reboot) FYI: the .06 bios build is the one you want..it is for LARGE HD support. (as per Team Xecuter site) You can also add as many BIOS yous want as stated...nifty feature this auto-read.. =) I am thinking about flash my BANK 2 with something...anybody have any suggestions? I was thinking M7 or the BLUE X Bios (True Blue).... heres the hitch..I want it to start the Avalaunch dashboard. How would I do this? edit the .ini file Im assuming?..is the Avalaunch .ini file similar to the evox.ini file? (does it even work the same way?) Thanks.. -whispers- actually I think I will start new post...as this is really about another topic. |
