Hiya

When I use media player with Relax on my home PC, sometimes it works and others it hangs the xbox indefinitly.

Tried Firewall etc. but odd that every 5th or 6th time it works!

There's a number of tabs at the top of RelaX. Check the connections tab.

When the XBox freezes is it getting a connection first? I'd say not. Find out what's stopping it from connecting (firewall/network settings etc) and you'll stop it freezing.

If it is getting a connection and then freezing that's weird, maybe it could be a bad filename or something.

Sounds like it can't find a connection - did that on mine whenever XBMP couldn't find a shared location after I had specified it in the INI file

I would suggest reading the Manual put out by XBMP team. It is very helpful and explains much of the information and questions that are usually asked.

Mine was doing the same thing until I got and installed the latest xbmp 2.1

That fixed the lockup and it now plays wonderfully

Read the information that comes with XBMP about how to set it up with RelaX. I beleive this has changed somewhat for the latest version so if you are using an example from an earlier version this may explain why it is not working.
