I am getting a new drive, do I need to lock it like some people recommend?
If I don't do it, what will be the result? Not being able to use Live or something else?

Thanks

just lock it if you want to go to the M$ dashboard which you need to play live, otherwise just keep it unlocked.

But in evox there is an option for msdashboard, ie you should be able to go back to it without locking?

not with an unlocked you'll click on it and it'll show the evox with an x and go back to your evox dash not the M$ dash

I can also go to the MS dash... but not though evox. i have to flash my mod with a complex or go though the DVD player software to shoot me to dash. i have a unlockable drive

There arn't really any downsides to locking the drive, so just do it.
