Hey all, I don't know if the is a chip, bios or dash problem but if I leave my box on overnight and it is not receving any commands. After about four hours it shuts its self down. I have no idea why its doing this. In the default MS dash I have turned this option off and I was unable to find anything about it in xbmc (the dash that I use) so I don't even know if its the dash thats doing this. Any and all help would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

Which dash are you using?
UnleashX, for example, will shut down the box after whatever time you specify in the system settings.
Of course, there is also the horrible thought that it might be over-heating?

1: Check msdash settings

2: Check idle shutdown timer in Settings in XBMC (set to 0)

Yes, agree with above - but kamu1 said "afert 4 hours". Max idle shutdown time in XBMC is 59 minutes. MS Dash is six hours. UnleashX default is "disabled".
It was the four hours that puzzled me. wink.gif

Thanks guys found out what it was, I had auto-off enabled in MS Dash when I backed it up after first installing my chip. Just recently when I moved purely over to xbmc so I just del'ed all of c: and copyed back by backup files then installed xbmc, as well as the auto-off. <bonks head>

Its always the things you said things you said you've checked when in fact you have just taken them for granted =p But anyway, thanks again, should be able to have it up 24/7 again ^^
