Can anyone help?

I attempted to install a XBIT modchip this morning going the solderless route:
Followed the guides for a v1.4 Xbox c/w original harddrive and completed the hardware install.
Flashed bios bank 4 with Xecuter 4983 bios and verified.
Selected bios 4 with the dip switches on the XBIT.
Switched on Xbox and got error message 7 contact service support.
I have checked i'm getting voltage to the molex connector and unseated and reseated the ribbon cable a number of times.

Is my harddrive locked or broken?
If this is the case then how do i recover the hard drive or format with the neccessary files?

Helppppppppp!

Steve.

This needs to be moved to the XBIT forum.
