Tries loading up the 4983.06 BIOS via the LPT/parallel port making a 1024k bios. Flash was complete and I verified it and it said it was fine but when trying to load up evox with the chip set to Enable and only dip switch 3 on I get a red and orange flashing DVD eject button. I read that this is probably due to a bad BIOS. Godd alternate BIOS that I should use? I have most downloaded already

I think you have your dip's wrong. See 1mb mode below:

When flashing my 1024k bios I have it set so that just DIP switch 4 is on and the chip is disabled, so that's fine. Then if I have a 1024k file..I try booting up EVOX with only DIP switch 3 on and the chip is enabled. I haven't tried a 512k bios yet but like I said ...I open the 256k across all 4 banks, read it, flash it, and verify it and all is well. It's this damn red/;orange flashing thing. Another reason can be bad connections but I wouldn't be able to flash and detect and verify it through x2 BIOS manager if the soldering was jacked up right? So I'm just thinking BIOS. Also, I did get the Cromwell BIOS load up after I installed the chip < I just chose to do the LPT/parrallel cause of ease, and X2 BIOS can detect the chip (x2.3b pro) so d0 shoud be fine too as well as all connections.
