Well, I took the plunge and bought myself and Xenium mod. I soldered everything together, and I thought I had done a pretty good job up until soldering the d0 wire. I had a difficult time with that and a droplet of solder fell on one of the chips. I cleaned up as much as I could, but it was no surprise when my XBox didn't turn on once reassembled. Anyway, I thought the experience was pretty fun nontheless--I guess it would have been nice if things worked in the end, heh. Anyway, I thought you all could use a laugh...I know I could, heh.

Actually, I'm not too bad off--$150 isn't too much. I think I was more disappointed in my inability to put things together right...

Somewhere there's a short. Take the whole chip out and see if it boots. Desolder D0 and see if it boots (I've seen a bridged D0 disable the Xbox completely - we desoldered, it worked, then resoldered the chip in for a good install).
