Feature Requests, v0.50 and beyond... Options

How about a Time/Date manager.
Here's an example:

Avalaunch will show a time/date of 12:00:00 1/1/2003
So I figure the clock on the xbox is wrong. So I boot into MS Dashboard and check teh clock settings.

MS Dashboard settings are showing the correct time. 1:37:05 4/25/2005.

Ok, so I boot into Avalaunch and bam, wrong time/date. However, I can launch XBMC and in their settings it has an option to get the time off the internet.
And what do you know, XBMC is showing the correct time.

COuldn't Avalaunch jsut have a feature to get the time off the internet also?

Your kidding, right? Have a look at "sntp" in your XML file.

Idon't know if it'already there but i would like to see .RM or .Rmvb compatible and a option to set the clock because i can't do it from avalaunch i'm doing it through msdash

just a few things

you kno in EA games when the music changes there is just this little popup in the bottom corner of the screen with some infor on the song. is tehre any way to do this with avalaunch? i hate when the song changes and it pops up in the center of the screen
and actaully have the song's name not the file location

can you guys make some sort of perental lock in avalaunch. ive tried using some other apps to do it but it never works and would be a hassel to set up anyway... it would be a lot better if the locks were through avalaunch. and then i dont have to hide the power cable from my kid

a way to change my xbox name through avalaunches setting menus

if any of these things were mentioned, then im just agreeing

Basically I have the faith in you guys to turn Avalaunch into the ultimate multimedia entertainment center.
Fully featured video and audio support
Ability to surf the internet
Video and voice chat..messanger option like yahoo,msn...(usb port...webcam solution)

Let's not forget the xbox 360 is out there and is coming sooner than ever.

I need a "usePcDvd" option as xbmc....i change my dvd with a pc dvd and now i can use only xbmc as dashboard!

i like ava alot it has just about everthing you need while still being simple to use and configure. one wish would be the ability to launch avi. and wma. files that is the only reason i have xbmc. and i would like to get rid of it. maybe an on off switch on the control for the truly lazy, and one that opens the tray. thats all my ideas but then again i dont plug my xbox to the net so i dont need lots of web related stuff. anyway thank you for the great dash.

If it has not already been mentioned, filling out the hard disk utility feature set that exists in EvoX.

At a minimum, this means implementing the 'Send Raw FTP Command' in the FTP server so that we can use the Formatpath / FormatDrive commands to format the hard disks.

At best, this would include menu-based options for formatting a fresh hard disk. If you wanted to get really fancy, you could include an installer version of the avalaunch.xml file that could be burned on a CD-RW and booted with a fresh hard disk that would stop avalaunch from attempting copying its system files to the new disk and only have menu options for formatting the fresh hard disk.

In addition, Avalaunch needs to be able to lock fresh hard disks that have never been locked.

Force PAL60 on NTSC DVD movies, is it possible? Becouse i have pal tv and that's why i'm having those "saw-edges" but if i could force NTSC movies to PAL60, those would gone. Is this possible?

Expand the gamesaves feature to include saves from codejunkies and others if possible. Scripting would be cool also, and a more user friendly kai integration. Thanks
