You then need to make sure you are on the same IP subnet on your computer (Using the ex... 192.168.1.x (x being any number between 1-255 and not 100).

X-S Senior Member Group: Members Posts: 256 Joined: 6-April 04 Member No.: 112460	The IP address you are getting from your DHCP server isn't in the same subnet range as your PC, so it will not connect. Set a static IP on both your PC & xbox & use a crossover cable to connect them. Are you sure that is a router & not a switch? I don't see that model number on Dlink's website.

X-S Enthusiast Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 28-June 04 Member No.: 127767	change your computers ip to 192.168.0.1 or something like the 1st 3 numbers are the same as the 1st 3 of xbox but the 4th is different
