ok, so i read that you should have no troubles getting the samsung drive to read cdrw. I burnt at 4x, and poped it in, no luck. Tryed again and again. Im pretty sure it is not that program im trying to use, Slayer's evox, since i got a from a reliable source. Does anyone have a sugestion to comment on how i could get it to read much easier?!?

Did you use simpleX or Xiso, or an Xiso creating tool befor you burned it?

if your sure that it is in an XISO format (xiso is different than iso), it could be the media that you are using. It might be worth burning a music cd to see if the media works on your box.
Is 4x the slowest speed that you can burn? |

no bad simplexiso is ok but don't use xiso there known to make a bad iso, as so stated in the pinned topic so get simplexiso
what brand of cd are you using, is it sony is it memorex, i know the samsung can read cdrw but there could be a brand that doesn't read it |

your pc isn't going to read it period, that's just how it is
when you downloaded it the official release comes in an exe form, than you then unpack and it gives you an .iso image you should just have to burn that and be good to go, no need to extract or anything else if that doesnt work there's other installers out there too |

i think what hes trying to say is
when you make an iso using simplexiso or whatever your computer can't read the disc anymore since its not in the right format, only your xbox can read it and this is true |

Your PC will not be able to read xisos.
Another suggestion... make sure that the disk contains a "default.xbe" I think the auto installer already has the executable called default.xbe but I'm not sure. |
