my friend was asking me about copying a 4+ gig file to the xbox and he cant now im assuming it is because his hd is in fat is there a way to make it ntfs so he can get the 4 gig file copied? or is there another way

actually, the xbox has a FATX filesystem (not the same as FAT). converting to NTFS would make the drive unreadable by the xbox which means that it wouldn't work anymore. The HD HAS to be in FATX.

it's already in FATX. the xbox drive is formatted with this filesystem by default

A 4 gig file will not fit on FATX. Meaning you can't put it on your Xbox Harddrive.
There is nothing you can do about it without changing the file itself and breaking it down. Most video files can be split, a DVD image can be broken into VOBS. I don't know what else it could be - maybe be more specific. |
