That all depends on your preference. You can solder the wires down first and then insert the pin header and solder it on, that would work. Use common sense and do it the way you think works best for you.

Depends on who you order it from. Some resellers give out a small amount of the wire with the chip, if not you can always buy it at radio shack.

I doubt it, they kinda suck if you ask me. Not my place to say though...

Just go to radio shack and buy some wire. A spool is like 2.49 US

I'm a n00b at modding xbox too and I got some quick solder question.

When soldering wires to the pin header area, do you solder them to the board, and then solder in the pin header, or do you solder them directly to the pin header, or what's the deal? (Don't have my chip yet, but will probably be much more clear when I get it in the mail.)

Does anybody know of any type of material that's hard/small enough to fit into the solder points? If there was some way to build some small posts into the test points, some people may be a little more comfortable just wire wraping the pin header to the post...would make for a quick an easy chip swap.

That's pretty much it for now. I'm sure that when my chip gets here and I get into my xbox, that things will be a whole lot more clearer. I just like to have as much info as possible befor I do go in.
